Butler Machinery Company is a third-generation, family-owned Caterpillar dealer founded in 1955 by Francis J. Butler in Fargo, North Dakota. From its origins with two eastern North Dakota locations, the company has grown to 20 locations across North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Montana. Built on a foundation of trust and long-term customer relationships, Butler Machinery offers full-service equipment sales, parts, service, and rentals for construction, agriculture, mining, and power systems — including through its Butler Ag Equipment division serving the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Montana.
