How to Use the Resume Builder

Build your resume by chatting with Metaintro, watch it fill in beside the chat, edit any line, pick a design, and download a PDF or share a private link. It's free.

Job Search

Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or Pi.

Start your resume

There are two ways to start:

  • In any chat, ask Metaintro to build your resume. For example: "Help me build my resume."

  • Open the + menu in the message box and choose Generate Resume.

The resume builder is free for every Metaintro account.

Answer questions while it fills in

Metaintro asks one question at a time about your work, education, skills, and the job you want. Your resume opens beside the chat, and each answer lands in its section as soon as you send it. A counter shows how many sections are filled, and the section Metaintro is asking about now is marked.

If your Metaintro profile already has your work history, the builder starts from it, so you only answer what is missing.

On a phone, a small bar shows your progress. Tap Open to see the whole resume.

Edit your resume

You can change anything in three ways:

  • Ask in chat. Say what to change, like "Make my summary shorter" or "Add my forklift certification."

  • Click a line. Click any line on the resume, type your change, and press Enter to save or Escape to cancel.

  • Use the Form. Switch to the Form tab to edit every section as fields, add a job or a line, or add a section.

If chat changes a line while you are editing it, Metaintro shows you both and lets you choose which to keep.

See versions and restore one

Every change saves a new version. Open History to see each version and where it came from, such as a chat answer or your own edit. Select a version to view it, then choose Restore this version to make it your latest. Newer versions stay in your history, so nothing is lost.

Choose a design

Switch to the Design tab and pick a preset, such as Classic Serif, Modern Minimal, or Tech Standard. You can also change the font, accent color, spacing, date format, and paper size, reorder sections, or hide one.

Your resume shows on real pages, at the same size and margins as the PDF, so you can see where each page ends before you download it.

Download a PDF

Open the ··· menu (Resume options) and choose Download PDF. The PDF uses your current design. Downloading does not add a file to your uploaded resumes.

If you tailored the resume for a saved job, choose Save as final in the same menu to attach the PDF to that job.

Share a private link

Choose Copy share link in the ··· menu. Only people you send the link to can open it. They see your latest version without signing in, and they can download it as a PDF. To stop sharing, choose Turn off share link. The old link stops working right away.

Tailor it for a job

When your general resume is done, ask Metaintro to tailor it for one of your saved jobs. The tailored resume is saved as its own copy, so your general resume stays as it is.

Build your resume by text

You can also build your resume over SMS. Text resume to your Metaintro number and answer the questions by text. Your answers go into the same resume you see on the web.
